AMERICAN IDOL hopefuls have one more chance to audition for the upcoming 12th season at
www.americanidol.com. From today,
Friday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Nov. 4, hopefuls can
submit an audition video online. Entrants should demonstrate their
stellar singing ability by performing a song of their choice a cappella.
Videos are limited to one submission per person. Please

All
AMERICAN IDOL auditioners must be between the ages of 15-28 (on June 5,
2012), and a legal U.S. citizen or a permanent U.S. resident
who is eligible to work full-time in the United States.
The 12th season of AMERICAN IDOL kicks off in
January 2013, with host Ryan Seacrest and recently announced
judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban, along with returning
judge Randy Jackson.
Past
AMERICAN IDOLs have landed 359 Billboard No.1 hits to date, counting
all domestic charts compiled by Billboard. Last
season’s winner, Phillip Phillips’ coronation song, “Home,” went
platinum and was No. 1 on three Billboard charts, including Hot Digital
Songs, Hot Digital Tracks and Rock Digital Songs.
Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery’s debut album, “Clear As Day,” also went platinum, with sales of more than one million units.
