George Stephanopoulos announced Thursday morning that his co-host, Robin Roberts, will return to Good Morning America permanently on February 20th.
"She's met with her doctors, they've cleared her to come back to the
show," he said. Stephanopoulos noted that Roberts' official return will be five months to
the day after she began her leave for a bone marrow transplant related to myelodysplastic syndrome, a disorder that stemmed from her earlier breast cancer treatment.
Roberts has been back for a few guest appearances and a trial run of GMA.
