American Idol Disqualifies a Finalist Over Warrants

During tonight’s performance show, it was revealed that AMERICAN IDOL Top 12 finalist Jermaine Jones from Pine Hill, NJ, was disqualified because he didn't disclose to the show that he had outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court on various charges going back to 2006.

At the top of the show, Ryan Seacrest said, "With the cooperation of law enforcement, we discovered information that left us with no choice but eliminate one of our finalists."

The issues for which he was wanted are reportedly related to narcotics and violating an open container law.

Tonight on the live results show another contestant will be eliminated, for singing violations. In addition, Demo Lovato will perform her hit “Give Your Heart A Break” and IDOL alum Daughtry will return to perform “Outta My Head.”
