ABC Ratings for The Chew, The Revolution and General Hospital: Week of February 27th

It was another good week for the two new ABC talk shows viewers love to hate.

The Chew drew 2.489 million total viewers, up from 2.437 last week and 2.30 million the week before that.  It is neck and neck with its predecessor All My Children.

The Revolution had 1.624 million viewers, up slightly from the week before (1.541 million) and the week before that (1.53 million). That was the fourth consecutive week of gains.

In a bit of good news for ABC soap fans, General Hospital had 18-week highs among women 18-49 (657,000) and women 25-54 (871,000), since the week of 10/24/11, a 13-week high in women 18-34 (172,000 – since the week of 11/28/11) and a 7-week high in total viewers (2.403 million – since the week of 1/9/12), all according to ABC.

  1. This is wrong information. Their ratings have drops significantly. A spokesperson from ABC has stated recently that The revolution may be a one season show. And the ratings for The Chew has dropped as well.

    1. On ABC spokesperson, would love to see that statement. Please post link or the actual quote and source. Ratings info is from Nielsen; do you have other data?

  2. I enjoy The Revolution, I am tired of all the negative comments written about this show. It is obvious that they are written by people upset that their soaps were cancelled. I hope that this show continues for a long time. Great job ABC!

  4. Abc has pulled the evening soaps out from under us soap fans by making soapnet a childrens channel. Can some one post where we are able to watch GH on days we work and can not be home by three. I feel its just another way to drop ratings for GH. I watch it at 3pm when I'm not working but if I work now I can't watch it at all. I am going to find out if I can cancel that channel maybe I can save money. I don't turn on abc except for GH now it won't go on my tv anytime unless I'm home at 3pm . As for Katie that time slot is finished before it starts. Good luck.

    1. SoapNet, which was supposed to go over the air, but has not of yet, runs General Hospital at 9pm each weeknight and again at midnight, 3am, 4am and 8am. You can also watch full episodes online at www.abc.go.com/shows/general-hospital.
