Rosie Cancelled, Again

Rosie O'Donnell's talk show The Rosie Show, on the OWN network (Oprah) has been cancelled.

Ratings are the reason.  The show, which was being produced in Chicago, opened to 497,00 viewers in October, but declined to 204,000 last month.

"I thank Rosie from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this journey," Oprah Winfrey said in a statement. "She has been an incredible partner, working to deliver the best possible show every single day. As I have learned in the last 15 months, a new network launch is always a challenge and ratings grow over time as you continue to gather an audience.  I'm grateful to Rosie and the dedicated Rosie Show team for giving it their all."

Rosie O'Donnell was gracious in receiving the news.  She released a polite statement thanking Oprah Winfrey for the opportunity and thanking the people of Chicago for welcoming her.

The show's final day will be Friday, March 30th.
