General Hospital In; The Revolution Out

The Revolution is out.
ABC has decided to cancel The Revolution, its three-month-old talk show, which has suffered badly in the ratings.

It has renewed General Hospital and will keep it on for at least a year.   Reports are that GH will remain in its 3 o'clock time slot and Katie, the new Katie Couric talk show, will air at 2 pm.

Since Katie starts in September and The Revolution will end in July, an afternoon version of Good Morning America (Good Afternoon America?) will be broadcast during the interim.

The Revolution started out bad and got worse, with record low ratings in the past couple of weeks. During the week of March 26, ratings tied the previous series low at 1.32 million viewers, almost half as many as One Life to Live at this time last year, which was 2.57 million.  The Revolution replaced the long-running soap in January.  Some OLTL characters are now on General Hospital.
