Richard Huff, a longtime TV writer at the New York Daily News, who was also Deputy Features Editor, is leaving the paper to join CBS as a public relations person for CBS News.
His title will be Executive Director overseeing news programs like "48 Hours Mystery," "Sunday Morning" and other news productions and specials.
In a news release, Huff said, "This is the right move for me to the right place and surrounded by the right people."
“Richard is a journalist of exceptional caliber, with a broad and substantial range of experience,” said Sonya McNair, SVP of Communications for CBS News, to whom he’ll report.
Huff joined the Daily News in 1993 and was previously at Daily Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. His TV writing was a regularly featured on the final pages of the paper in the TV section and will be missed.
