Good Wife Gets Nathan Lane, Too

OMG.  Nathan Lane will appear on The Good Wife on CBS this season.

The network announced earlier this week that Kristen Chenoweth and Maura Tierney will appear this season in recurring roles, all in the season four series premiere.

If you ask me, CBS buried the lede.  Lane will certainly bring added value to the show when he appears in the first episode, probably even more so than the others.

Lane, the Broadway and film star who was stellar in The Producers, The Odd Couple, The Bird Cage and Guys and Dolls, will portray a bottom line-obsessed manager imposed on Lockhart & Gardner by the bank to cut costs and get the firm back to fiscal health.  He will, of course, be at odds with Will, Diane and others at the firm, presumably as he counts paper clips while they try to win mulit-million dollar settlements.

The Good Wife will continue to air Sundays at 9 p.m., but will now be followed by The Mentalist, which moves from its Thursday night slot.
