Fox announced today that Gordon Ramsay's newest show, HOTEL HELL, will begin a two-night series premiere Monday, August 13 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and Tuesday, August 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).
The unscripted (reality) series will feature Ramsay visiting poorly run hotels, inns and B & B's to point out what's wrong. (You can bet little will be right.) Regular episodes will run Mondays 8-9 pm.
According to Fox, Ramsey, the chef and restauranteur, enters the hotel arena as an expert in customer service and how to meet guests' highest expectations. After more than a decade of running restaurants in some of the world’s top hotels, Fox says Ramsay understands the importance of surpassing guests’ highest expectations, presumable even when the price is below celebrity levels.
The show promises a glimpse of some of the worst hotels in the country with filth, mold and other disgusting attributes, including poor room service and incompetent employees. The host's goal will be to uncover the dirt and put owners and employees on the right path to correcting errors and turning around failing establishments.
While there will be entertainment value, this one does not seem right for the squeamish, myself included. Will check it out with eyes ready to be covered.
