It will be a first for the Amazing Race when the latest crop of daredevils and world travelers are confronted with their inaugural "roadblock," skydiving. When the CBS series returns this Sunday night to begin its 20th season, the racers will head from Santa Barbara, California to Santa Barbara, Argentina, where they will find themselves leaping from an airplane at 10,000 feet.
11 teams make up this contest, which will again be hosted by the unbelievably dry and dull Phil Keoghan. The overall winning team, having survived elimination throughout, gets $1 million.
The Amazing Race sends teams on a trek around the world. Each Team is comprised of two people who have a standing relationship with one another. At each destination, teams compete in a series of challenges — some mental,some physical. When the tasks are completed, they head for their next destination.
