Good news for the legions of ABC soap fans who have been boycotting the network since it dropped One Life to Live and All My Children.
Ratings for both replacements were off last week.
The Revolution dropped to 1.53 million viewers, a nine percent fall. That's particularly bad since last week was down from the previous week. Compared One
Life to Live during the same week last year, there was a whopping 39 percent plunge in total viewers
(2.51 to 1.53 million). The news is even worse among women, a key part of the audience for advertisers.
I don't think ABC is close to bringing back the beloved soaps, but they're going to have to do something if these two very clumsy programs continue to fail. Who knows? Crazier things have happened.
