Kristen Chenoweth to the Good Wife in Recurring Role

Emmy Award and Tony Award-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth (“Pushing Daisies,” “GCB”) has been cast in a recurring role in season four of THE GOOD WIFE, and will make her debut in September’s season premiere.

Chenoweth will match wits with both Alicia and Peter in her role as a top-of-her-game political reporter who wants to know more about the Florrick campaign and marriage.

It was announced yesterday that Maura Tierney (“ER,” “Rescue Me”) and British actor Marc Warren (“Hustle,” “Mad Dog”) have both been cast in recurring roles in season four. (http://tinyurl.com/6qy322m)

Kristin Chenoweth received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in the series “Pushing Daisies,” and has appeared in the comedy “Glee” for which she received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. Recently, she starred in the series “GCB.” Currently, Chenoweth is on a North American tour, performing songs from her latest album “Some Lessons Learned,” as well as an array of her most memorable songs and Broadway show tunes, including music from “Wicked,” “Promises Promises” and “Glee.”

THE GOOD WIFE, which stars Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Julianna Margulies. In addition to receiving nine 2011 Primetime Emmy nominations, the most for a broadcast network series, the drama has won or been nominated for multiple awards, including the Peabody Awards, the Golden Globe Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the People’s Choice Awards. THE GOOD WIFE airs Sundays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.
