Sony Pictures Television announced yesterday that Queen Latifah will be the latest celebrity to host a talk show. (Yes, another one.) This addition will focus on advice and inspiration and will be syndicated in daytime.
Latifah has until now been a film actress and rapper whose biggest role was probably in the 2002 film, "Chicago," based on the Broadway musical of the same name. She did, though, once have a talk show called The Queen Latifah Show which ran in syndication from 1999 to 2001.
The new program, set to debut in fall 2013, is being produced by Sony with Latifah's production company, Flavor Unit Entertainment, and Will Smith's company, Overbrook Entertainment. Smith and Latifah go back to her earliest days on camera when she appeared on his sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
