"Global superstar Kelly
Clarkson will make her broadcast performance debut of “What Doesn’t Kill You
(Stronger)” and Grammy Award-winning artist Bruno Mars will perform his hit “It
Will Rain” on The X Factor results show on a special night, Wednesday, Nov.
23 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), on FOX. The special
Wednesday-night installment will also feature a shocking double elimination that
leaves only seven acts in the competition.
Since bursting onto the music scene 10
years ago, Clarkson has released five studio albums, sold 10 million albums in
the U.S. and landed nine Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She is
the recipient of two Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards, three MTV Music
Video Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards. Clarkson’s most recent effort,
“Stronger,” debuted at No. 2 both on the Billboard Top 200 and Digital Albums
charts. The album produced the single, “Mr. Know It All,” which marks Clarkson’s
ninth Top 10 hit.
Mars is a multi-talented singer,
songwriter, producer and musician. After co-producing and performing on two of
2010’s biggest hits (B.o.B’s “Nothin’ On You” and Travie McCoy’s “Billionaire”),
Mars’ first solo single “Just the Way You Are” hit No. 1 in multiple countries
across the world and earned him a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. Mars’ debut album
“Doo-Wops & Hooligans” has been certified 24x platinum worldwide and has
produced two additional hit singles, “Grenade” and “The Lazy Song.”
Tomorrow night (Monday), on a
special “Giving Thanks”-themed performance show, the Top Nine Finalists,
including Girls – Melanie
Amaro, Rachel Crow and Drew; Boys – Astro, Marcus Canty and Chris Rene; Over 30s
– LeRoy Bell and Josh Krajcik; and last remaining group Lakoda Rayne will continue to battle it out for America’s votes, THE X
FACTOR title, a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music and an iconic
