Daytime Talk Ratings, No Good News for ABC

Here are the daytime talk ratings via Nielsen for the week of July 9th, showing that Good Afternoon America, while besting The Revolution on ABC, did not beat One Life to Live, even in its premiere week.

GAA drew 1.8 million viewers, 30% fewer than One Life to Live, 42% with women 18-49.  It was fourth among the daytime talk shows.

The Chew did slightly better than previous weeks with 2.12 viewers; it was up a bit from 1.99 million.

The Talk on CBS continues to continue to draw more people than it had been.  It had 2.06 million viewers compared to 2.02 million during the previous week.

The View continues to be the superstar in this category, but it had only 3.06 million viewers during the week of the 9th, a slight rise from the previous week's 3.11 million.  The show continues to lose viewers over a year ago.

  1. What will it take before ABC realize that taking off AMC was a big mistake? The industry should start counting people over 49 as part of the rating system.
