CBS Dominates Prime Time Ratings, Again

CBS continues its stampede over the other broadcast networks in the ratings race for the 2011-2012 TV season.

During the week of April 23rd, CBS had six of the top 10 shows.  ABC had three, Fox had two and NBC had none.  (Eleven shows actually, because of a tie.)

On cable, none of the big dramas and comedies like Made Men, Veep or any others make the top ten cut.  For cable viewers, it's all about Pawn Stars, the WWE (wrestling) and sports.

Here are the two top ten lists.

1. Dancing with the Stars (Mon), ABC
2. American Idol (Wed), FOX
3. Dancing with the Stars (Tues), ABC
4. American Idol (Thurs), FOX

6. The Big Bang Theory, CBS
7 Person of Interest, CBS
8. The Mentalist, CBS
9. 20/20: Dance Floor Confidential, ABC
10. Blue Bloods/The Good Wife (Tie), CBS

  1. "American Idol" and "Dancing with the Stars" has to be my favorite prime shows on during dinner time besides the "Simpsons". I watch all my prime time shows when I get home after work and their automatically recorded on my DVR. I have the Hopper and it automatically records my NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX’s prime time shows everyday in HD during prime time hours. I work for Dish and I can tell you that this is part of the Hoppers PrimeTime Anytime feature. It allows your Hopper to record six shows at once during prime time hours. The hopper has the largest receiver hard drive in the industry, and it can hold up to 2,000 shows!
